TITA: type in the answer. There are no options and no negative marking.
Answer: 900 Equations TITA
Solution
- Let gold \(= g\); then bonds \(= 0.25g\) and stocks \(= 100000 - 1.25g\).
- Returns: \(0.1(100000 - 1.25g) + 0.06(0.25g) + 0.08g = 8200 \Rightarrow 10000 - 0.03g = 8200 \Rightarrow g = 60000\).
- Bonds \(= 15000\), and the gain is \(6\% \times 15000 = 900\).
